MQM-P’s negotiation team scheduled to meet Shehbaz Sharif today


MQM-P negotiation team is set to hold talks with the PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif on Friday in Lahore at 3 pm.

LAHORE: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) negotiation team is set to hold talks with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif on Friday in Lahore.

In an announcement, the MQM-P spokesperson confirmed that the meeting is scheduled to take place at 3 pm on Friday (today).

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has reportedly departed from Karachi for Lahore.

As per the MQM-P spokesperson, the negotiation team comprises prominent figures of the party including Mustafa Kamal and Dr Farooq Sattar.

The primary agenda of the meeting will revolve around constitutional reforms and MQM-P’s inclusion in the federal cabinet.

Earlier, the two parties held talks where the PML-N assured the MQM-P of Sindh governorship. The talks also included greater share for the MQM-P in the federal government.

The PML-N agreed to support MQM-P’s demands in return for the latter’s assistance in forming the government at the centre
