Murad Saeed and Hammad Azhar declared absconders, warrants issued

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Murad Saeed, Hammad Azhar and Farrukh Habib have been declared absconders by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad.

The three leaders, among others, have been implicated in the Judicial Complex attack. Their continued absence from hearings have led the ATC to declare them as proclaimed offenders. The court has also issued arrest warrants for the accused.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the cases against PTI leaders and upon finding the accused absent yet again from the hearings declared them as proclaimed offenders.

The arrest warrants issued includes names of these three politicians along with former PTI member Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi and former provincial law minister Raja Basharat.

The court adjourned the hearing until April 7. It should be noted that two cases have been registered against PTI leaders in Ramna Police Station.
