No deal with anyone, declares Imran Khan

Imran’s acquittal plea

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Imran Khan, denying any corruption, said that he will not be making any deal with anyone, whether its part of negotiations or anything else.

“Listen carefully, I will not make any kind of deal, whether it’s negotiations or anything else” , Imran Khan said in a brief chat with journalists at Adiala Jail after the announcement of the verdict against him in the Al-Qadir trust case.

He accused past and present dictators of destroying Pakistan, citing the example of Yahya Khan in 1971 and claiming that today’s “dictators” are continuing the same practices for personal gain.

“The verdict doesn’t matter to me. These decisions will only bring ridicule to the judiciary,” he said.

Targeting his political opponents, Imran Khan alleged, “Nawaz, Shehbaz, and Zardari align themselves with dictators, which is why their sentences are forgiven.”

Reiterating that he has committed no corruption, Khan said, “Every year, Rs. 9 billion is raised for Shaukat Khanum, and not a single rupee has been misused,” he remarked.

He criticised the judicial system, alleging it had been destroyed and lacked credibility.

On Friday, former prime minister Imran Khan was sentenced to 14 years and fine of Rs 1 million in the Al-Qadir Trust Case, while his spouse Bushra Bibi has been sentenced to seven years in Jail alongside a fine of Rs 500,000.
