ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has initiated a sweeping operation to enforce immigration laws and evict individuals residing illegally within its borders. The nation’s Ministry of Interior issued a directive to all provinces, marking the end of the deadline for the return of those living unlawfully in the country.

The operation, which began promptly after the deadline passed, aims to address the issue of illegal immigration comprehensively. Illegal residents, particularly aliens convicted of minor crimes, will face deportation, as per the Ministry’s orders.

The government has left no room for tolerance and has explicitly stated that strict action will be taken against any Pakistani found harboring illegal persons. This underscores the government’s determination to uphold the rule of law and maintain the integrity of the nation’s borders.

The eviction plan is all-encompassing, applying to all foreigners residing unlawfully in Pakistan. In the province of Sindh, the identification process for approximately two lakh illegal immigrants has been completed. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well, around 300,000 citizens who have been residing illegally in the region will be relocated to holding centers.
