ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to auction the Toshakhana gifts, which he has received from foreign state heads and countries, via open bidding.

Prime Minister’s Strategic Reforms Unit’s head Salman Sufi while talking to Hum News said the gifts received by the PM are not being retained by him and will be auctioned for sale. He said that all proceeds from the auction will be given to children’s organisations specifically those working on the wellbeing of orphans.

Last year in September, the PM said he would not keep any foreign gifts and directed that all valuable presents he received on international trips would be showcased permanently at the PM House.
