PM Kakar is set to visit Quetta today

ISLAMABAD: Interim Prime Minister (PM) Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar is set to visit Quetta on Friday after his recent trip to Karachi.

Sources reported that PM Kakar will engage with local officials and community leaders of the provincial capital to discuss and bolster ongoing developmental projects and ensuring peace and security in the region.

As per the sources, the interim prime minister will hold discussions with the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan, aiming to align strategies and collaborate on vital regional matters.

Meanwhile, the visit to Quetta also involves outreach to tribal leaders and representatives from diverse political factions, as reported by the sources.

The sources added that during his visit, PM Kakar’s plan also includes visiting his ancestral hometown Kan Mehtarzai.

It is pertinent to note that the recent series of visits follows the interim premier’s one-day trip to Karachi on August 22.
