ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that the perpetrators of the Bajaur attack would be swiftly brought to justice.
He said this while visiting the residence of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to offer condolences for the loss of lives in the Bajaur attack.
“The entire nation is in mourning over this sorrowful event,” said the PM. He termed the attack on the JUI-F workers’ convention an attack on Pakistan’s democracy.
“May Allah elevate the status of the martyrs and grant patience to the bereaved families,” said the PM. “I have instructed to provide the best medical facilities to the injured,” he stated.
The Bajaur blast was a suicide attack that targeted the JUI-F gathering in the Khar area of Bajaur district on Sunday.
