Police has “abducted” my daughter Imaan, says Shireen Mazari

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari said on Sunday that her daughter Imaan Mazari has been arrested by plainclothes police officers, including female personnel.

According to sources, Shireen said that her daughter has been “abducted”. She expressed her disappointment over the overnight actions of law enforcement which not only resulted in her daughter’s arrest but also led to the confiscation of security cameras and Imaan’s laptop and mobile phone.

Sources also mentioned Shireen’s concern about the absence of an arrest warrant during the operation. She said that the security personnel did not show us any arrest warrant.

During the raid, only two women were present in the house, according to Shireen Mazari.

Furthermore, she called the entire event as “kidnapping” rather than a lawful apprehension and strongly condemned the incident.
