LAHORE: “Everything is made into a political matter. Pakistan’s economy is finally on its way to recovery. Economy should not be politicized,” said Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari in a press conference here today.

Pakistan’s economy has gotten back on its feet with great difficulty, she said, adding that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has started welfare projects for the people including ‘Dialysis Card’.

Punjab CM has approved Dialysis Card, which will provide treatment to a million people, Bukhari said.

“People are getting free medicines in hospitals of Punjab as part of the provinces efforts in the healthcare sector,” she said, adding “Nawaz Sharif organised health card in 2015-16 which was cashed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)”.

Speaking on the news about Punjab inflating the budget surplus she said that it was a propaganda against the provincial government to say that Punjab is going to incur a loss of Rs 160 billion. “IMF has also denied this news,” Bukhari said, “Punjab government will give surplus budget at the end of the financial year”.

The information minister said that the government has issued a notice to the journalist “who gave false news”.

Addressing the statements made by the PTI leaders, the provincial minister said, “Provinces do not wage jihad against the state. Jihad slogans against the state are raised only by outsiders.”

External factors want chaos in Pakistan, the information minister said.

“Bushra Bibi was in politics before and she still is. Bushra Bibi used to run the Chief Minister of a province by remote control,” Azma Bukhari said.
