PTI chairman challenges rejection of bail pleas in IHC

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday challenged the rejection of his nine bail petitions in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The PTI chairman has submitted these petitions through his lawyer, Salman Safdar. Within these petitions presented to the IHC, the PTI’s legal representative has appealed for the nullification of the bail rejection verdicts.

While six bail applications were dismissed by the Sessions Court, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) rejected three.

Furthermore, the lawyer urges the IHC to direct the trial courts to hear the cases again based on their merits and to prevent the police from arresting the PTI chairman in relation to these nine cases.
