PTI chairman, spokesman likely to meet Imran Khan in Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and PTI Spokesman Barrister Saif are likely to meet the founding chairman of PTI Imran Khan, sources said on Tuesday.

Both opposition leaders will go to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to meet Imran Khan. They will update Imran Khan on today’s progress and will also discuss the next strategy of protest, sources added.

It is notable that earlier today, the leaders and activists of PTI reached Islamabad, under the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi.

The federal government has said that they offered PTI to hold protest and sit-in at Sagjani area, which was acceptable to the leadership. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the PTI leadership agreed to this arrangement, but Bushra Bibi refused to agree.

The PTI protest caravan is continuing to proceed towards D Chowk, while the armed forces and Rangers have taken control of the area.

Meanwhile, the federal government has given full autonomy to the Islamabad police to deal with the protestors in whichever way they deem fit.
