PTI establishes three-member delegation for consultations with ECP ahead of general elections

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has assembled a three-member delegation to engage in consultations with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in anticipation of the forthcoming general elections.
The delegation representing PTI comprises Barrister Ali Zafar, Umair Niazi, and Niazullah Niazi. This delegation is tasked with presenting the party’s recommendations to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) concerning the upcoming general polls.
In line with this democratic initiative, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has extended invitations to the nation’s major political parties to engage in discussions regarding the impending general elections. This decision underscores the ECP’s commitment to fostering a collaborative approach in shaping the electoral landscape of the country.
Under the framework of this consultative process, the ECP has cordially invited the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, and the President of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Fazalur Rehman, to participate in consultations on Thursday.
Election Commission invites political leadership for GE consultations
Moreover, former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Shehbaz Sharif, and Co-Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, have been respectively summoned to partake in the consultations on Friday and August 29.
The Chairman of PTI has been offered the option to engage in the meeting either in person or through representatives. The scheduled consultation is set to take place at 2:00 PM on Thursday.
The discussions are expected to encompass a wide array of topics including the delineation of constituencies, the modernization of electoral rolls, the management of the general election, and the formulation of the election schedule. The collaborative consultations are anticipated to pave the way for a robust and inclusive electoral roadmap.
