ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could lose its bat electoral symbol in the next general election after it failed to hold intra-party elections.

The Election Commission (ECP) has sought a reply from the PTI chief on August 4 for not holding intra-party elections.

According to a communique issued by the ECP, “if the intra-party elections are not conducted, the PTI may become ineligible to use the electoral symbol.”

According to Geo News, as per the notice sent to the PTI chairman, the intra-party elections were supposed to be held on June 13, 2021.

The electoral watchdog has said that it has issued multiple reminders to the PTI chairman but did not get any response and no further extension will be granted, now.
