RAWALPINDI: Following the meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members and his family to visit him today at Adiala jail, his sister Aalima Khan revealed that the offer for his house arrest at Bani Gala was put forward by Khyber Pukhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
She spoke about the meeting with the media after the meeting with PTI founder concluded today.
The negotiating committee that met Khan has been formed by the current PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan to negotiate with the committee of the ruling alliance. The negotiations are taking place under the chair of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
Both the government and the opposition are hopeful that the negotiations will yield a positive outcome. PTI’s negotiating committee includes members from their allied party Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) as well. They will also likely meet Imran today.
The meeting will take place at Adiala jail. Imran Khan’s sisters are also likely to be given permission to meet with him today.
Imran Khan’s lawyers had submitted a request to the jail administration yesterday to be allowed for the meeting. The lawyers have not yet been informed of the meeting details, according to sources.
However, as per latest reports, Imran’s sisters Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan have reached Adiala jail for the meeting. Imran’s cousin Qasim Zaman is also accompanying them, sources said.
This is a developing story…
