PTI’s parliamentary committee meets amidst arrests

PESHAWAR: A crucial meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Parliamentary Party took place today at the Chief Minister (CM) House in Peshawar, chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin Gandapur.
The meeting was attended by provincial ministers and members of the provincial assembly, sources said. The key agenda of the meeting was to review the arrests of PTI leaders and the ongoing legal cases against them.

Party insiders revealed that the leadership expressed concern over the increasing number of arrests, which have escalated in recent weeks.
During the meeting, discussions focused on presenting a resolution in the provincial assembly, condemning the arrests, labeling them as politically motivated, and demanding immediate release of arrested leaders.
After the passage of the resolution in the parliamentary committee meeting, it may be presented in the National Assembly session as well.
