PTI’s Raoof Hasan gets bail in PECA case

ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, a duty magistrate from the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) court approved the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hasan.

PTI granted permission for protest; IHC contempt cases likely nullified

Magistrate Abbas Shah in Islamabad delivered the reserved judgement, ordering Hasan’s release in connection with the case filed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.

Despite the court’s decision, Hasan’s release will not be immediate. He remains in the custody of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) under a two-day remand mandated by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).
