QUETTA:  Sajid Tareen Advocate has formally resigned from his position as Prosecutor General of Balochistan.

“I have made the decision to step down as Prosecutor General of Balochistan,” stated Tareen.

Sajid Tareen Advocate is a prominent figure in the Balochistan National Party (Mengal). He was appointed as the Prosecutor General of Balochistan during the tenure of former Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo’s government.

When asked about the motive behind his resignation, Mr. Tareen cited a surge in human rights violations in Balochistan following the establishment of a caretaker government in the province.

“Continuing in my role under the current government has become extremely challenging,” he explained.
