Senator refutes reports of President Zardari’s resignation

ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid has refuted the claims circulating online regarding President Asif Ali Zardari’s resignation.

Senator Khalid is affiliated with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) same as President Zardari. Her statement offers credibility by her association with the party as well. She said, “I strongly condemn the malicious campaign spreading false news about President Asif Ali Zardari’s resignation.”

“These baseless rumors are an attempt to damage the stability and reputation of our democratic institutions,” Rubina Khalid added.

She said that President Zardari has always been steadfast in advocating for democracy and national unity. “I request the public to be wary of false information,” she said, adding, “We will continue to work tirelessly for the betterment of our nation and the promotion of democratic values.”

In her statement, she also praised President Zardari’s efforts against dictatorship in the past, saying that he remained true to his principles in every difficult period. “President Zardari has always been the first to raise his voice in any region of the country. The honor of being elected President of the Pakistan for the second time is only held by President Asif Ali Zardari,” the senator said.
