LAHORE: Jamat-e-Islami Chief Siraj ul Haq has announced a Gaza March on October 29 in front of the US consulate in Islamabad.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore on Tuesday, Haq called for an end to the Israeli blockade of Gaza and the opening of humanitarian aid routes.
He remarked, “The United States is overseeing Israel’s use of force against the Palestinian population. It is incumbent upon the global community to fulfill its responsibility in ending the Israeli acts of oppression.”

Siraj ul Haq urged the public to express solidarity with the Palestinians and protest against the injustices they are facing. “Remaining silent on the Palestinian issue is equivalent to siding with Israel, as thousands of Palestinians have been martyred, and they are being imprisoned in their own territories,” he stated.
It should be noted that since October 7, there have been ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians, resulting in over 5,000 Palestinian casualties, with more than 2,000 children killed in Gaza alone.
Earlier this month, a prominent JI leader, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, disclosed plans for a rally in support of the Palestinians in Karachi scheduled for October 15.
During a press conference held in Karachi, Naeem criticised the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), stating, “The OIC has maintained silence on the matter despite passing only one resolution of condemnation.”
He called upon the government of the country to deploy its military to assist the Palestinians during this challenging period.
