ISLAMABAD: To accelerate Pakistan’s journey towards a digital future, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the ambitious “Digital Nation Pakistan” initiative, breathing new life into the country’s digital transformation efforts.
At the helm of this venture stands Tania S. Aidrus, an experience professional in the tech arena, who has been reinstated to drive the nation’s digital agenda.

The initiative includes the establishment of an interim Digital Committee tasked with laying the groundwork for the forthcoming National Digital Commission and Pakistan Digital Authority. At the forefront of this dynamic committee is Aidrus, whose reappointment signals a resurgence of commitment towards leveraging technology for national progress.
Aidrus, renowned as the Co-Founder and CEO of DGLOBAL, was previously appointed as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Pakistan under former prime minister Imran Khan. However, she resigned due to concerns over her dual nationality.
