ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the federal cabinet today to discuss the current political situation as well as the country’s security situation and a report on the Balochistan terrorist attacks will be presented.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 11 am.
The agenda for the meeting will include a thorough review of the country’s current political situation.

The cabinet is expected to deliberate on the prevailing law and order conditions, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to maintain stability.
Additionally, the cabinet will also assess the economic situation of the country. With various challenges impacting the economy, the discussion is anticipated to focus on strategies to address these issues and bolster economic resilience.
According to sources, the cabinet will approve the transfer of PWD staff and PSDP projects, while the cabinet will approve the recommendations of the rightsizing committee.
The matters of the federal government austerity and cost reduction will be reviewed, they said, adding that the decisions of the August 23 meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Legislation will be ratified.
Ratification of the decisions of the meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee on August 22 is included in the agenda, the sources said, adding that the briefing on PTA and IT ministry will be given to the cabinet.
