Toshakhana 2 case: Hearing adjourned till December 30

RAWALPINDI: The Toshakhana case 2 hearing against PTI founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi has been adjourned till December 30 without any proceedings.
Special Central Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand presided over the hearing at the Adiala Jail.
PTI founder appeared in the courtroom, while former first lady Bushra Bibi was also present at the Toshakhana case 2 hearing along with her counsel Arshad Tabrez.
However, lawyers Salman Safdar and Qausain Faisal Mufti requested an adjournment due to personal commitments.
In the absence of defense lawyers, the prosecution witness’s statement could not be recorded. Consequently, the court adjourned the case till December 30 without further proceedings.
Bushra Bibi secures interim bail in cases related to November 26
Following the hearing, Bushra Bibi departed from Adiala Jail.

Meanwhile, Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder, addressed the media outside Adiala Jail and said that Imran Khan has instructed overseas Pakistanis to stop sending remittances to Pakistan till his demands are met by the government.
She said Imran Khan has said that the call for civil disobedience will only be retracted if our two demands of a judicial commission to investigate the events of November 26 and May 9 and all PTI workers detained illegally are released are fulfilled
She also said that Imran Khan has said that he does not want to be placed under house arrest and would continue to fight all cases on merit.
