Toshakhana case: Imran’s disqualification petition hearing adjourned

LAHORE: The hearing on the petition against the disqualification of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was adjourned without proceedings.

In the Lahore High Court (LHC), a hearing was to be held on the appeal against the disqualification of Imran Khan in Toshakhana case. The hearing was to be held under a five-member larger bench headed by Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza. Other judges in the larger bench are Justice Shahid Karim, Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhary, Justice Jawad Hasan and Justice Risal Hussain.

On this occasion, Justice Mirza said that this matter is pending in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), due to which the LHC directed to fix the case for hearing after the court’s summer vacations.

The larger bench was dissolved after the nomination of Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan to the Supreme Court.
