Video: Firdaus Ashiq Awan allegedly assaults her maid

ISLAMABAD: Former Federal Minister for Information and Istehkam e Pakistan Party (IPP) Spokesperson Firdous Ashiq Awan allegedly assaulted and abused her maid during a domestic dispute.

The video, obtained by HUM News, captured a heated exchange between Awan and her maid, where the former can be seen intimidating the latter. Awan was also heard admitting to slapping the maid on camera.

Furthermore, an exclusive portion of the video showed a person accompanying the maid, presumably recording the incident with a mobile phone. In the footage, Awan can be heard threatening to involve the police.

Meanwhile, Awan told HUM News, ” No one was assaulted, the indiviuals in the video belong to criminal groups,”

She also took to her Twitter and said that the individual operate in organised groups and escape by committing thefts.

She mentioned that during initial police inquiry, it was found that an FIR (First Investigation Report) of theft had already been registered against the group.

This is not the first time the IPP spokesperson has been involved in a contentious situation. In 2021, Firdaus Ashiq Awan faced allegations of assaulting and abusing Pakistan Peoples Party leader Qadir Mandokhel on national television during a talk show.
