MULTAN: Zain Qureshi, son of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi, extended Eid greetings to the nation on behalf of his father.
Zain Qureshi also took the opportunity to critique the government’s recent budget, expressing his disappointment over unfulfilled promises made prior to its announcement.

“This budget appears to be more friendly to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) rather than being people-centric,” he said, adding that this Eid marks the second Eid that his family is celebrating while Shah Mehmood Qureshi remains incarcerated.
Addressing the ongoing political situation, Zain Qureshi commented on the cipher case, labelling it a politically motivated action. He praised both the founder-chairman of PTI Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, describing them as honourable leaders. He also mentioned their detention in connection with the May 9 case, noting that they were deprived of participating in Eid prayers due to their arrests.

The charges in the police case include violations of Section 144, resisting police officers, damaging a policeman’s uniform, and obstructing a public highway.
