GPCCI, PAJCCI sign MoU

KARACHI: The Greek-Pakistani Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GPCCI) and the Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PAJCCI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce premises to promote bilateral and regional trade cooperation.

The agreement was signed by GPCCI Founder and President Ms Rubina Markopoulou and PAJCCI President Mr Junaid Makda, with facilitation provided by ICC Pakistan.

The MoU aims to enhance business-to-business linkages, facilitate networking opportunities, and encourage joint ventures between entrepreneurs from the three countries. Officials said the partnership would also create a platform to explore untapped trade potential and strengthen economic connectivity in the region.

The Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PAJCCI) was established as a collaborative initiative of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, Chaman Chamber of Commerce, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce, and the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce.

It is duly licenced by both the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan to serve as a cross-border business platform.

Observers note that the involvement of GPCCI is expected to broaden the outreach of PAJCCI’s efforts, connecting regional markets with European business networks through Greece.
