Sunday turns into a fun day at Northern Bypass Cattle Market with food,festivities


KARACHI: Karachi’s Northern Bypass Cattle Market turned into a lively and joyful gathering this Sunday, transforming the traditional livestock market into a vibrant picnic spot for families and citizens. The atmosphere was festive, with visitors arriving in large numbers to enjoy the sight of beautifully decorated sacrificial animals. Families, including children and adults, camped at the market, making it a fun-filled day. Many visitors took selfies with the stunning cows, camels, and goats, expressing their happiness and excitement at seeing such majestic animals. The market was bustling with energy as people admired the beauty of the livestock, describing it as a delightful experience to witness the animals in a friendly environment.

Adding to the festive mood, the evening featured a captivating Qawwali Night with the renowned singer Amjad Ali Sabri performing soulful Sufi music, which resonated deeply with the audience. This cultural performance drew large crowds and enhanced the overall celebration of the day. The food street, set up in front of the administrator block, became a central attraction from Saturday night onwards. Food lovers enjoyed a variety of spicy and savory dishes such as Javed Nihari, burgers, hunter beef, Gola Kabab, Tikka Booti, Shawarma, Katakat, Dughari Dal, Haleem, Chicken Biryani, and Pulao. Citizens also savored hot tea and cold Limka drinks while socializing and enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the transportation of sacrificial animals from across the country continued smoothly, with beautiful livestock being loaded in trailers and trucks, adding to the bustling environment of the market. This ongoing activity underscores the market’s importance as a hub for livestock trade ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
