DUBAI: Tickets for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, including the much-anticipated Pakistan-India showdown, are now available for cricket fans, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has announced.
Prices start at 40 dirhams (PKR 3,069) for matches in Abu Dhabi and 50 dirhams (PKR 3,837) for games in Dubai.
The ECB said tickets for the Pakistan-India clash will first be offered as part of a seven-match package, starting at 1,400 dirhams (PKR 10,743).
Standalone tickets for other matches will be available separately. The board added that in the coming days, tickets will also be sold at booths in Dubai International Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi, with details to be shared soon.
T20I tri-series: Pakistan to face host UAE today
The tournament will run from September 9 to 28 across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Pakistan, led by Salman Ali Agha, are in Group A with India, Oman, and the UAE, while Group B features Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.
The event opens on September 9 with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi. Despite India’s policy of avoiding bilateral sports ties with Pakistan, its team will participate in the Asia Cup as it is a multi-nation tournament.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said any future talks on sporting ties with India will be held on equal terms, with “no more pleading” for negotiations.
INDIAN TEAM MAY PLAY WITHOUT JERSEY SPONSOR
Indian media has reported that the Indian cricket team might play the Asia Cup 2025 without a jersey sponsor.
According to India Today, the issue came under discussion during the BCCI’s emergency Apex Council meeting. The board admitted that finding a new sponsor before the tournament would be a challenging task.
The BCCI plans to finalise a sponsor until the ICC World Cup 2027, but it seems unlikely before the Asia Cup.
Indian media reported that the Dream11 contract was signed in 2023 and was supposed to continue until 2026. Its total value was $44 million (INR 358 crore). The termination is expected to cause heavy financial losses to the BCCI.
