LAHORE: The recent heavy rains in Sri Lanka have posed a challenge for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). ACC members have initiated discussions on the possibility of relocating the remaining matches of the scheduled tournament in Colombo due to the adverse weather conditions. This matter has also elicited a response from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
According to sources within the PCB, ACC is facing pressure regarding the suitability of Colombo and Pallekele as venues for the matches due to the ongoing rainy season in these areas. It is being considered necessary to possibly change the match venues. ACC is expected to provide more information about the suitability of these venues for the cricket matches.

In response to PCB’s request, a meeting with ACC has been scheduled after the recent India vs Nepal match to discuss the issue of relocating matches. However, discussions will also encompass matters related to ticket sales for matches and logistical considerations.
On the other hand, reports from Indian media suggest that the intense rainfall and unfavorable weather conditions in Colombo might lead to the possibility of shifting matches to Dambulla or Pallekele venues. A significant decision in this regard is anticipated within the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
