The schedule was revised due to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India earlier this month, which forced the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to be suspended. The PSL final was moved to May 25, creating a scheduling conflict with Bangladesh’s tour.

Following a meeting between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chairman Nazmul Abedeen, the new schedule was established.
