MUNICH: Bayern Munich delivered a great performance as it defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 in a pre-season friendly match at the Allianz Arena.
The German champions took control early, with Harry Kane opening the scoring after neatly controlling a pass before placing the ball into the net with his weaker left leg.

Kane, facing his former club, then missed a penalty opportunity shortly after when his spot=kick sailed over the crossbar, denying Bayern a quick second goal.
Throughout the first half, Bayern pressed high and consistenly tested Tottenham’s defines, registering 15 shots on target. The match saw Tottenham struggle to build sustained attacks under Bayern’s onslaught.
Bayern added their second goal after halftime thanks to Kingsley Coman, who capitalised on a misplaced pass from Tottenham’s Djed Spence. The winger curled a precise effort beyond the reach of the goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to extend the lead.

The closing portion of the game highlighted Bayern’s emerging talent. 17-year-old Lennart Karl scored a well-executed finish from outside the penalty area, marking his first goal of the summer.
Shortly after, fellow academy product Jonah Kusi-Asare, aged 18, struck on the opposite flank with a similar accurate and composed finish.
Tottenham, coached by Thomas Frank, failed to produce effective offensive threats against a well-organised Bayern side. Their few attempts included a narrow miss by Richarlison, who headed wide from a Pedro Porro cross in the final stages.
Defensively, Tottenham suffered from errors, notably the turnover leading directly to Coman’s goal. Joao Palhinha, who recently joined the club on loan, conceded a penalty through a foul early in the game, although Bayern could not capitalise on the spot-kick.
The losing team’s coach admitted Bayern’s superiority. He however, took lessons from the match to improve ahead of Tottenham’s upcoming UEFA Super Cup match with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
