HYDERABAD: As the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 gears up for an exciting kick-off in India, the spotlight has unexpectedly shifted to a seating debacle at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The tournament’s second match, featuring Pakistan against the Netherlands, is scheduled for October 6th at this venue.

During a recent warm-up match between Pakistan and Australia, which took place at the same stadium, fans faced a frustrating situation as they entered the premises. The seating arrangement within the stadium left much to be desired, and the disappointing scene didn’t go unnoticed.

Pictures circulated on social media, posted by a user named C. Venkatesh on X, formerly Twitter, revealed an untidy array of seats. This immediately sparked outrage and widespread criticism among cricket enthusiasts.

Fans took to various social media platforms to express their disappointment, with many directing their ire toward the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the organizing body behind the tournament, as well as the host nation, India.

Critics did not mince words, labeling the seating mishap as a disgraceful oversight by the BCCI, which had the responsibility to ensure that seating arrangements were in impeccable order for the prestigious event.

After multiple crucial matches of Asia Cup being tainted due to rainy weather, also because of BCCI’s poor planning, this stadium mismanagement fiasco is showing BCCI’s lack of preparation and poor focus towards the internationally loved sport of cricket.
