Biggest marathon race in Islamabad tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The largest marathon race in Pakistan is set to take place in the capital, Islamabad, tomorrow (Sunday).

The event is being organized by the renowned running group, Islamabad Run With Us (IRU). The marathon will start from E-11 flyover, Iran Avenue at 7:00 am.

Founded in 2016 by the Naz brothers, Qasim Naz and Hashim Naz, IRU has gained prominence in the running community.

This marathon, the fifth in the series, will host runners from across Pakistan and around the globe and aims to set new benchmarks for marathon events in Pakistan.

Over 3,000 runners from across the country are expected to participate, along with a notable number from the diplomatic community in the marathon race in Islamabad.

The marathon is also attracting international runners, including participants from Europe and the United States.

The event will feature competitions in 5 km, 10 km, full marathon, and half-marathon categories.

To promote an active lifestyle among children, a special race will be organized for participants under the age of 12.

Food stalls and a variety of games will also be set up to make the event engaging and memorable for attendees.
