CAB requests BCCI to reschedule Pakistan-England match over security concerns

Netherlands: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Saturday made a request to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to change the date of the Pakistan vs England match, which is scheduled to take place on November 12 in Kolkata during the ICC World Cup 2023.

The reason behind this request is the celebration of Kali Puja, a significant Hindu festival in India. On the day of Kali Puja, the entire police department in Kolkata will be occupied with managing the festivities and ensuring public safety during the event. As a result, the CAB has expressed concerns about the feasibility of providing adequate security for the Pakistan cricket team on that particular day.

To address these issues, the CAB informed the ICC team about the situation.
