Allen’s aggressive hitting helped the Falcons recover after losing early wickets. Captain Imad Wasim supported him with an unbeaten 39 runs off 27 balls.
The Falcons were in trouble at 77 for five by the 14th over. But Allen-Wasim partnership helped steady the boat, helping the team post a higher target.
In response, the Knight Riders began well. Colin Munro made 44 runs, providing a good start. But Obed McCoy’s bowling changed the game. He took four wickets and slowed down the target chase.
McCoy was later named the player of the match for his performance.
Kieron Pollard tried to keep the Knight Riders in the game. He scored 43 runs not out from 28 balls. Pollard hit several boundaries and 6s. However, his team fell short, finishing on 159 for six.
The last over was very tense. The Knight Riders needed 14 runs to win from six balls. Nathan Edward took a single, putting Pollard on strike.
Pollard could not find the boundary he needed. He managed one 4 from the last ball. Shamar Springer bowled well under pressure to secure the win for the Falcons.
