Former cricketer Zulqarnain Haider joins PPP on advise of spiritual leader

LAHORE: Former Pakistani cricketer Zulqarnain Haider has officially joined the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on the counsel of his spiritual mentor.

Haider’s decision comes after his spiritual guide, Shah Shams Tabriz, made a prognostication that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is poised to assume the mantle of the nation’s next Prime Minister, according to Samaa News.

In a statement, Zulqarnain Haider expressed his profound respect for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, considering him the most adept among the present cadre of political leaders.

He recalled to instances in which esteemed figures like Yusuf Raza Gilani and Shah Mahmud were treated with compassion by their elder counterparts.
