While Verstappen’s mentor Helmut Marko managed to secure his position by meeting with Red Bull’s Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff to reaffirm his advisory role within the team. There were heavy doubts over the team’s stability following Verstappen’s father’s concerns about Horner’s leadership. Although Horner was cleared of misconduct allegations after an investigation, the elder Verstappen’s worries remained.

Previously, in response to his father’s remarks, Max Verstappen remained neutral, stating that his focus is on performance rather than team politics. His recent victory at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix showcased his dominance in Formula One, yet his father’s comments cast doubts on Red Bull Racing’s stability.

Despite Verstappen’s neutral stance, rumours suggested a potential move to Mercedes, where he could be a valuable asset.
