Harry Brook makes double century, Root makes 250

MULTAN: Pakistan’s bowlers were unable to stunt England’s progress on Thursday. Harry Brook made a double century, joining teammate Joe Root, who is closing in on 250 runs, and extended England’s lead.
Brook managed to hit 19 fours and one six on his way to his first ever 200, and he did it off just 240 balls. He currently stands at 208 off 249.
The century he made earlier was his fifth, with four of them coming against Pakistan. The English batsman has an average of 113.4 runs on Pakistani soil. In his first three match test series against Pakistan, Brook’s scored 468 runs in five innings, at an average of 93.6 runs per inning
Joe Root brought his total to 254 runs off 356 deliveries. England’s total stands at 629 for 3, leading by over 80 runs.
