Harry Brook makes triple century, Salman Agha ends Root’s dominance

MULTAN: Harry Brook continued his outstanding performance, making a triple century on Thursday, after Agha Salman and Naseem Shah got Pakistan their first and second wicket of the day respectively.
In only his 19th ever test match, Harry Brooks made his first ever triple century, after making his first ever double century earlier in the day. Brooks made his sixth ever century on Wednesday, which was his fourth against Pakistan. He currently stands at 302 runs off 310 balls.
The wicket came in the 137th over, after Salman Agha was able to find Root’s pad, being given the LBW by the umpire. The ball didn’t spin off the pitch as Root expected, instead coming straight at him and onto his pad.
Root was dismissed for an incredible 262 runs off 375 balls. He made 17 fours in his innings. The wicket ended the largest partnership of the match so far as Root and Harry Brook made a combined 454 runs off 522 balls.
Naseem Shah got his second wicket of the game in the 145th over. Aamer Jamal took the catch, dismissing Jamie Smith for 34 runs off 24 balls.
England lead by 223 runs, standing at 779 for 5.
