I was lucky to get Maxwell’s wicket thrice in the series, says Haris Rauf

Haris Rauf was declared the best player of the third match of the ODI series against Australia. He also won the award of the best player of the series.

After receiving the awards, he said that the Pakistan team has been struggling for the past few months, this series was very important for both Pakistan and the team.

“Glenn Maxwell is a superstar and a legend. [Bowlers] try hard to get his wicket. I am lucky to get Maxwell’s wicket three times in the series,” Rauf said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and other leaders have doled out congratulations to the national team for the splendid victory.

PM Sharif said that winning the ODI series against Australia was a very happy occasion for the nation.

The Pakistani team has been able to defeat Australia at their home ground after 22 years. “We are proud of our cricket team, the hard work of all the players and management of the team was evident in the series,” the PM said.
