DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that Shubman Gill, a promising player from the Indian cricket team, has been honored as the ICC Player of the Month for September 2023.

During the month of September, Shubman Gill exhibited exceptional performance, accumulating a total of 480 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) at an impressive average of 80.

His exceptional form put him in contention for this prestigious title, competing against fellow teammates Mohammad Siraj and English opener David Mullan.

Shubman Gill’s remarkable performance during the Asia Cup 2023, where he amassed 302 runs at an outstanding average of 75.5, made him the highest run-scorer in the tournament.

Moreover, he contributed significantly to the home ODI series against Australia by scoring 178 runs in just two matches.

These achievements underscored his consistency and excellence as a top-order batsman.
