Oman XI began their innings in a significantly different manner as the team’s top batters Jatinder Singh (skipper) and Aamir Kaleem each stayed for 23 and 21 deliveries each, scoring 14 runs respectively, comparing to the UAE’s openers Jonathan and Mohammad Waseem who were downed for a duck and 35-ball 22 each respectively.

Interestingly, Mohammad Nadeem and Hammad Mirza who stepped in to contain the UAE’s bowlers each scored 14 runs off 28 and 20 balls respectively. Jitenkumar Ramanandi was able to jerk the chase for a digit before being downed by Muhammad Irfan.

There came in Vinayak Shukla and Nadeem Khan who remained unbeaten, scoring each 5-balls 3 and 16-deliveries 30 (studded with 2 fours 3 sixes), nearing the finishing at four-run difference.

UAE batting Line

Earlier, the UAE XI sent top batters Jonathan Figy and skipper Muhmmad Waseem in the first to open their beginning. However, both players were stormed as the first-in Figy, who lost to Fiasal Shah, couldn’t jerk even for a digit. Likewise, Muhammad Waseem didn’t do well either as he managed just 22 off 35 deliveries before being crushed by Sufyan Mehmood.

The following order also went amazing. Alishan Sharafu suffered the same pressure earlier built by Faisal and Sufyan of the opponents while striking against both of the UAE’s opening batters. Sharafu was crushed for a 6-ball 8 runs by Shakeel Ahmad.

Rahul Chopra stepped in to lead his team’s total up to a significant high by maintaining the same middle order. However, the UAE bowlers had already handed in a strong momentum at the crease that also successfully downed Rahul. He scored just 7 off 13 deliveries before being fallen to Nadeem Khan.

Finishing middle order as well as lower order however showed up some resistance that at least regained hoped for their team at the crease. Middle order Muhammad Irfan helped the team for a 15-ball 17 runs, while Harshit Kaushik’s 19-deliveries 18 runs, increasing their total up to 85. Likewise, Dhruv Parashar of the lower order managed 17 off 20 balls before being downed while taking a run while Zahid Ali added 18-not out off 12 balls studded with 3 fours. This brought the team’s increase up to 108 runs.

Thanks to the 4 extras conceded by the Oman bowlers that increased their total up to 112 with a loss of 7 wickets.
