SAN JOSE: Inter Miami, who have been on a losing skid, drew 3-3 with the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday night.
Unlike Miami, the Earthquakes have been in great form, winning their last three games. But early in their Wednesday night match, it looked like that streak might come to an end, as Jordi Alba found Maxi Falcon in the box for a header to put Inter Miami up 1-0 just thirty seconds into the contest.
However, it didn’t take long for San Jose to reply, finding the back of the net themselves just a little later in the second minute of the match. A bad pass from Inter Miami goalkeeper Oscar Ustari gave Chicho Arango an easy opportunity from within the box to equalise.

The Earthquakes took the lead in the 36th minute, courtesy of a long-range blast from beyond the box by Beau Leroux. Inter Miami would level the score not long after in the 44th minute. A beautiful pass from Leonel Messi would find Jordi Alba, who then crossed the ball into the box where Tadeo Allende managed to get a foot to it before Earthquakes goalkeeper Daniel managed to get a glove.
In extra time just before the end of the half, San Jose would take the lead again. This time it was Ian Harkes, who took a shot from just outside the box, managing to hit Ustari’s far post.
Soon into the second hald, Miami would level once again. Messi would dribble the ball into the box before passing it off to Baltasar Rodriguez, who then found Allende right in front of the goal, allowing the 26 year old Argentinian to score his second goal of the game.
The match ended 3-3. Allende was the star of the night, scoring two of Miami’s goals, but Messi had his own moments, creating those opportunities to score.
