Is Babar Azam getting married?

LAHORE: Reports about the rumoured wedding date of Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam created a buzz on social media on Tuesday. However, sources close to the skipper’s family have denied the claim, stating that his fans will need to wait for at least a year for Babar’s wedding.

The news reports claimed that Babar is set to get married to his cousin after the ICC World Cup in India later this year.

Furthermore, these news reports also indicated that he had initially intended to marry last year after the T20 World Cup in 2022. However, the wedding was postponed due to prior commitments.

Earlier this year, in February, while responding to a reporter’s question about his marriage, Babar said, “I am waiting to be married,” saying that his fans should also wait alongside him.

Babar is currently the top-ranked ODI batter with 886 points. Kohli is ranked ninth with 705 points.
