MIRPUR: Kagiso Radbada broke the record for the fastest player to reach 300 wickets in test matches on Monday, as South Africa limited Bangladesh to only 106 runs in their first innings.
The first test match against Bangladesh in Dhaka is Rabada’s 65th. He reached the milestone in 11,817 deliveries, beating out previous record holder Waqar Younis, who took 300 wickets in 12,602 balls.
Radbada’s 300th wicket was the first of the match and it came in the 14th over, as he bowled Mushfiqur Rahim, sending the ball between his bat and pad to splay the stumps.

He took two more after that in the 20th and 38th over. The first dismissed Litton Das, as Radbada found a thick outside edge, sending the ball high to Tristan Stubbs who took an incredible diving catch.
Radbada’s third and final wicket of Bangladesh’s first innings, would see the fast bowler eliminating Nayeem Hasan, as he found another edge before the ball landed in Wiaan Mulder’s hands.
