Kamran Ghulam makes century in test debut

MULTAN: Kamran Ghulam made a century on Monday in his test debut against England in the second match of the series.
Ghulam currently stands at 102 runs off 192 deliveries.
The Pakistani all-rounder was a steadying force for Pakistan, after the team was rocked early after loosing skipper Shan Masood in the tenth over. The Pakistani batsman hit eight fours and the only six of the game on his way to the century. Kamran faced a close call at the end of the 63rd over after flicking the ball towards mid-on. Ben Duckett dived for the ball but couldn’t keep make it stick.
Ghulam has played 59 matches in first class cricket, scoring 4377 runs. Across the 98 innings he’s played, he has made 16 century’s and 20 half century’s.
Potts dismisses Ayub, ends Pakistan’s biggest partnership
Together with Saim Ayub, he made the largest partnership of the game so far, scoring 149 runs off 278 deliveries. After Ayub was dismissed on 77 runs by Matthew Potts in the 56th over, Saud Shakeel came in to fill his place.
However, the 28-year-old middle order batter was quickly dismissed for only 4 runs off the 14 deliveries he faced. A 140 kph delivery from Brydon Carse found the edge of Shakeel’s bat, leading to a sharp catch by wicketkeeper Jamie Smith. Mohammad Rizwan came in next and has currently made 13 runs off 44 deliveries.
Pakistan currently stand at 214 for 4 after 74 overs.
