Pak-Bangladesh test series: Amir Jamal released from national squad

Pak Vs. Ban

LAHORE: Fast bowler Amir Jamal has been released from Pakistan’s national squad ahead of the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Jamal’s selection was contingent upon his fitness, but he has now been directed to focus on his recovery at the National Cricket Academy.

The PCB stated that Jamal is recovering from back pain, which he sustained during his stint in county cricket. Given his current condition, the decision was made to prioritise his fitness and rehabilitation over immediate participation in the series.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh second Test relocated from Karachi to Rawalpindi

This is the latest adjustment to Pakistan’s squad, as Kamran Ghulam and Abrar Ahmed were also recently released. Both players are now representing the Pakistan Shaheens.

The first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh is scheduled for August 21, with the second Test set for August 30 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The changes in the squad come as Pakistan aims to field a fully fit team for the crucial matches.
