Pak vs NZ rain update: Pakistan inches closer to victory against New Zealand

Pak vs NZ rain update- Pakistan win

WEB DESK: In the latest update, the World Cup 2023 match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Bengaluru has faced yet another delay due to persistent rain.

The heavy rain forced the officials to cover the pitch, making it impossible for the players to resume the game.

If the remaining match fails to take place due to the ongoing rain showers, Pakistan will emerge victorious based on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.

According to the DLS calculation, Pakistan had to chase a target of 179 runs within 25.3 overs. Remarkably, Pakistan finds itself 21 runs ahead of the required score under the DLS method.

During the interrupted gameplay, Fakhar Zaman exhibited an outstanding performance, scoring an impressive 126 runs.

Alongside him, Babar Azam showcased his skills by remaining unbeaten by 66 runs, both players steadfastly holding their ground at the crease.

Stay tuned for further updates as cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the resumption of this thrilling encounter between Pakistan and New Zealand.
