RAWALPINDI: The upcoming T20 International Series between Pakistan and New Zealand has stirred a whirlwind of anticipation and logistical adjustments.
With the cricketing fever gripping the nation, Pakistan is poised to host three exhilarating matches at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

However, amidst the excitement, a cloud of inconvenience looms over citizens as the district administration’s directive seals off Allama Iqbal Park, a popular recreational spot among locals, situated adjacent to the stadium.
The closure, slated to endure until April 22, has prompted frustrations among residents, particularly on holidays when the park beckons families and enthusiasts alike.
Attributed to security concerns, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has defended the decision, citing precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all stakeholders. Consequently, the park’s vibrant recreational activities will remain suspended during this period, leaving a palpable void in the local leisure scene.
Despite these disruptions, cricket aficionados can rest assured that the spirit of the game will blaze on within the confines of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Scheduled for April 18, 20, and 21, the T20 clashes between Pakistan and New Zealand promise a spectacle of skill, strategy, and sporting prowess.
