Pakistani cricketers show solidarity with Gaza amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes

Gaza

WEB DESK: Pakistani cricketers, currently in India for the ICC Men’s World Cup, have expressed solidarity with the people of Gaza as Israel persists with indiscriminate airstrikes, causing widespread devastation.

The Gaza Health Ministry reports that Israel’s bombardment has resulted in the tragic loss of at least 3,061 Palestinian lives, with 13,750 others sustaining injuries.

In a powerful display of support, Pakistan has strongly condemned all Israeli atrocities and called for an immediate cessation of the bombings, which have spared neither hospitals nor schools.

Notably, Pakistani cricketers, boasting a massive combined following, have taken to social media, particularly X to express their solidarity.

All-rounders Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, and leg-spinner Usama Mir posted images of the Palestinian flag, symbolising their support for the innocent Palestinians, and expressed their hope for peace.
